Graveside service for Johnny Cates, 55, of Columbiana, was held Saturday, Oct. 25, 2008, at 2 p.m. at Pinelawn Gardens. Visitation was held one hour prior to the service at Bolton-Letlow Chapel.
Mr. Cates, who passed away Thursday, Oct. 23, 2008, at a local hospital, was born on June 6, 1953 at Fort Rucker. He is the former owner and designer of Cates Corner Florist in Columbiana.
He is preceded in death by his father, John L. Cates.
He is survived by his mother, Jackie Cates; brothers, Jeffry (Zela) Cates, Jamie (Mary) Cates; nieces and nephews, Stacey (Charlie) Hall, Jae Cates, Nikki (Bo) Bradbury; great nieces and nephews, Hannah and Andrew Hall, James Henry Cates, Ella Faith Bradbury and a host of other family and friends.
