A Birmingham woman who allegedly stabbed and killed her boyfriend in a restaurant parking lot is scheduled to appear in court next month.

Angela Yvonne Allen, 34, will appear in Shelby County Circuit Court for a review hearing Dec. 17 at 8:30 a.m., according to court records.

Allen was charged with murder in the stabbing death of her boyfriend, Bobby Lee Bray Jr., 28, of Brent, in October. Authorities said Allen and Bray were traveling south on U.S. 31 on Oct. 6 when a verbal altercation began in the vehicle at about 9:36 p.m.

The couple pulled over into the Fish Market Restaurant parking lot at 4570 U.S. 31, “where the altercation became physical which resulted in the male victim being stabbed,” said Calera Police Lt. Chuck Holcomb. Bray was pronounced dead at the scene.

Holcomb said the weapon used in the stabbing was a kitchen knife.

Allen was arrested and transported to the Shelby County Jail. She has since been released on $50,000 bond.
