Girl Scouts at Kanawahala Program Center celebrated Christmas in different cultures this year.

On Dec. 6, the Girl Scouts gave lessons about holiday celebrations from Italy, Nigeria, South Africa, Mexico, India, Sweden, China, Greece, Russia, France, Ireland and Germany.

The girls shared Italian stories, customs and traditions; experienced the Indian Festival of Lights and the Chinese New Year; sang German songs; listened to African music; played Nigerian games and learned about Boxing Day; and enjoyed Christmas music played by French horns while sampling French food, among many other activities.
