Vincent Middle / High School received a $1,000 grant from the Shelby County Commission to help send a group of 55 students and adults to Washington D.C. for the presidential inauguration. The money will be used to help offset travel expenses.

The group will attend the swearing-in ceremony, go to the inauguration parades and go on a complete tour of the capital city.

They will leave the morning of Jan. 18 and return Jan. 22. The trip has been planned since April.
