Richard Lee Caldwell

Funeral service for Richard Lee “Big Daddy” Caldwell, age 60, of Shelby, will be Monday, Jan. 12, 2009, at 11 a.m. at Bolton-Letlow Chapel with the Rev. Howard Brasher officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Old Shelby Cemetery.
Mr. Caldwell, who passed away Thursday, Jan. 8, 2009, at a local hospital, was born Aug. 29, 1948, in Shelby. He was a Marine that served in the Vietnam War. Mr. Caldwell was also a retired truck driver, loved Alabama Football and Roosters.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Ezell Caldwell.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Paulette Caldwell; daughters, Malinda Caldwell, Bridgett (Charlie) Weldon; grandchildren, Savannah Caldwell, Colton Weldon; sisters, Linda (Dennis) Davis, Kay Robinson, Charlene Green, Betty (Pete) Haye and a host of other family and friends.
Bolton-Letlow Funeral Home is directing.
