Pelham remains atop 6A rankings

The Pelham Panthers continue to lead the Alabama Sports Writers Association state rankings in Class 6A baseball as their win streak extended to 10 games last week. Pelham (14-1) will meet No. 9 Spain Park (10-7) when the two resume area play March 24.

Joining the Panthers in Jaguars in a Top 10 baseball ranking are the Briarwood Christian Lions (10-2), who are ranked No. 6 in Class 5A, up one spot from last week.

In softball, Oak Mountain (10-2-1) sits No. 4 in Class 6A, while Cornerstone Christian (14-0) is No. 6 and Kingwood Christian is No. 10.
