Emily Fay Creel Merrell passed away at her home April 4, 2009.
She was born Jan. 3, 1927, to Walter and Effie Creel.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Oren Bartly Merrell. She is survived by her children: Sue (Bill) Farr of Columbiana, Thomas (Diane) Merrell of Shelby, Charles (Linda) Merrell of Wilsonville and Linda Faye (Tim) Tucker of Marion; 14 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
The family received friends at visitation Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Bolton Letlow Funeral Home in Columbiana.
Funeral service was held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Bolton-Letlow Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Tommy Joe Merrell and The Rev. Sam Harton officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Good Hope United Methodist Church, 2707 Highway 61, Columbiana, Ala. 35051.
