Chelsea defender Hobson Roberts signed a scholarship Tuesday to play college soccer at Faulkner University.
He joined Chelsea this year after deciding to quit homeschooling and attend public school to play soccer.
“Hobson has been a tremendous addition to our team this year. He is a leader and a role model. The other players look to him for leadership and the coaches and players respect him. He is a hard worker, but he also has a fun personality. Being around him has been positive for all of us,” Chelsea head coach Lee Miller said.
“I am extremely proud of the way he has stepped into this team and helped us improve. He had several colleges recruiting him this year, and I think he made a good choice by signing with Faulkner. We’re going to miss him greatly next year, but we wish him well on his career at Faulkner.”
