Two University of Montevallo women’s golfers received Gulf South Conference honors this week.

Freshman Emma Breen of Swindon, England was named GSC Freshman of the Year in her first standout season with the Falcons. Breen posted five Top 10 finishes this season, including a 10th place effort at the GSC Tournament.

Sophomore Emily Gibson of Toronto, Ontario was named to the First Team All-GSC Team for her second selection after joining the Falcons last season. As a freshman, Gibson was named to the 2008 All-Gulf South Conference Second Team. This season she placed 6th at the GSC Tournament as well as winning the Ann Rhodes Shootout.

The Falcons concluded their season with a 3rd place finish at the GSC Tournament.
