April 20

Farm League – 8 and Under

The Orioles advanced to the first half season’s championship game with a 17-15 win over the Cubs. The O’s won the game despite an early 10-2 deficit. Leading hitters for the Orioles were Collin Heisler (4-for-4, three runs scored), Stephen Fant (4-for-4, four runs scored, three RBIas), Zachary Stoeckert (4-for-4, three runs scored, three RBIs) and Dawson Ingram (4-for-4, two runs scored, one RBI).

Minor League – 10 and Under

The Mets beat the Yankees, 8-7, to advance to the first half season’s championship game. Joshua Gregg was the winning pitcher while also going 2-for-3 at the plate. Hunter Blackburn was also 2-for-3. Jackson Nararre was credited with the save in two innings of relief work.

April 18

Farm League – 6 and Under.

The Dodgers handed the Orioles their first lost of the season with a 15-6 victory Saturday afternoon. Leading the Dodgers at the plate were Jackson Webster (4-for-4, five RBIs) and Preston Royster (4-for-4, three RBIs). Also, Joshua Bass and Cade Turner were both 3-for-3 with three RBIs and one RBI, respectively. Webster had six putouts on defense for the Dodgers.

Farm League – 8 and Under

The Orioles earned a spot in the first half season’s playoffs with a 12-9 win over the A’s. Leading hitters for the O’s were Dawson Ingram (3-for-3, two runs scored, one RBI), Allen Grayson (3-for-3, one run scored, one RBI) and Andrew Mercier (3-for-3, two runs scored, two RBIs). Excellent defensive plays were made by Ingram, Stephen Fant and Zachary Soeckert.

The Braves (7-0) continued their winning streak with an 18-2 win over the Dodgers. Hunter Peoples, Chad Merrifield, Mitchell Beck, Chase Peoples and Jacob Tinnell combined for a perfect 20-20 in the game.
