Sara Posten is the recipient of a four–year UAB Golden Excellence Scholarship valued up to $30,000.

Posten is a member of Spanish National Honor Society, French National Honor Society, National Honor Society and wind ensemble at Thompson High School. She will major in foreign languages.

She is the daughter of Keith Posten and Kathy Ransom of Alabaster.
