Funeral service for Deborah Martin, age 53 of Montevallo, was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 5, 2009, at Bolton Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Bailey officiating. Visitation was held Monday, May 4, 2009, from 6-8 p.m. at Bolton Funeral Home.
Mrs. Martin, who passed away Saturday, May 2, 2009, at a local hospital, was born Dec. 6, 1955, in Kentucky.
She is survived by her husband, Edward H. Simmons, Jr.; her children, Barbie Mendrys, Lorraine C. Mendrys, Edward C. Mendrys, Ronnie G. (Nikki) Gothard Jr., and Angela R. (Carrie) Gothard; 10 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild; her mother, Geraldine Price, four sisters, Pat Brandenburg, Betty (Patrick) McKelvey, Brenda (Danny) Lawley, and Linda (William) Perry; one brother, Chuck (Carla) Lawson.
