6-Under Farm League
The Chelsea Tigers defeated the Yankees, 21-17, Monday, as Wesley Helms led the way with two home runs and eight RBIs. Katie Goss was perfect at the plate with four singles and two RBIs, also delivering seven put outs from the mound. Carson Orr was also perfect at the plate going 5-for-5 with a double, four sinlges and four RBIs.
8-Under Farm League
The Orioles improved their second half record to 4-2 with three wins in row by a combined 44-6 score. The O’s defeated the Angels 15-0 while playing superb defensively. Collin Heisler starred at the plate going 4-for-4. On Saturday, the O’s defeated the Tigers, 14-3. Again, excellent play in the field jump started the bats. Stephen Fant, Zachary Stoeckert, Dawson Ingram and Andrew Mercier all recorded put outs. Stars at the plate were Fant, Allen Grayson and Dylan Green. In Monday night action, the Orioles defeated the Yankees, 14-3. The O’s continue their exceptional play in the field. Parker Mercier recorded multiple put outs from his circle position. Stephen Fant, Zachary Stoeckert and Nicholas McNeill all had RBI hits.
The Braves improved to 5-1 on the second half, also winning their last three games. On Friday, the Braves defeated the White Sox, 12-9. Brodie Winks and Jacob Tinnell were both 4-for-4 at the plate, while Hunter Peoples and Mitchell Beck were both 3-for-4. On Saturday, the Braves defeated the Angels, 18-3. Top hitters for the Braves were Jacob Tinnell (5-for-5), Joel Sams (4-for-5), Brodie Winks (4-5), Chase Peoples (3-for-4) and Zach Adams (3-for-4). On Monday, the Braves defeated the A’s, 13-4, to remain atop the second half standings.
10-Under Minor League
On Thursday, the Mets defeated the White Sox, 8-2. Matthew Brauer got the win on the mound while pitching five innings and giving up only four hits. Joshua Gregg was credited with the save. Top hitters for the Mets were Joshua Gregg (3-for-3), Hunter Blackburn (2-for-3) and Jackson Nararre (2-for-3). On Saturday, the Mets remained undefeated with a 19-2 win over the Marlins. Navarre was the winning pitcher in four innings of work. Blackburn closed the game in the fifth inning. Top hitters were Chase Carlee (2-for-2, three runs), Brauer (2-for-2, three runs), and Brennen McCord (2-for-2, two runs).
