The Montevallo Lil Devils defeated Columbiana, 10-4, Friday. Montevallo led off the first inning with a walk by Sara Beth Smith followed by the next six batters. Lacey Hamrick, who was last to the plate in the first inning, also walked, scoring Mikayla Cardwell.

Pitcher Elizabeth Clark faced only three batters in the bottom of the first with two strike outs and a ground out to Justice Alexander at third base.

The Devils scored one run in the second by Alexander with a steal at home, only giving up three runs to Columbiana.

Jessie Harbuck made a pop up catch at home plate keeping the Devils up by six runs before they added two more runs in the third and allowed one by Columbiana to end the game.
