France’s Milk Dud Peanut Butter Surprise Cookies

1/2 cup softened butter

1/2 cup peanut butter

1/2 cup sugar

1/2 cup brown sugar

1 egg

1 1/4 cup flour

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

3/4 cup milk duds


Beat first four ingredients until fluffy.

Add egg to mix.

Add dry ingredients and mix well.

Chill dough.

Roll into 1–inch balls, then flatten each.

Press milk dud into center of each.

Roll back into ball.

Roll each ball in sugar and place on an ungreased cookie sheet 2 inches apart.

Bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes.

Cool 1 to 2 minutes before removing them.
