Man arrested in Calera convenience store robbery
A man is being held at the Shelby County Jail after he allegedly held up a Calera convenience store at knifepoint.
Calera Police arrested 32-year-old Steven Wade Hamilton after he fled on foot from the Cozy Corner convenience store on U.S. 31 South Wednesday, according to a news release.
At the time of Hamilton’s arrest, police recovered stolen money and the knife used to rob the store.
Hamilton is charged first-degree robbery and second-degree theft. He is being held on $45,000 bond.
