Two-by-Two Animal Rescue, based in Helena, will have dogs available for adoption at the “Dog Days of Summer Celebration” July 11 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m.

The celebration will be held in the Oxmoor Ridge community, just off Lakeshore Parkway in Birmingham.

The event will include free food, pet grooming and photos, as well as an opportunity to win a year’s worth of free dog food.

“When you’re in the home building business, you talk to customers who are considering the needs of their pets as much as they do their own,” said Realtor Sandy Reeves in a press release. “This is a way for us to demonstrate how we recognize and meet our customers’ needs. Plus, it’s a fun way to spend a summer Saturday.

Officials at Tower Development will make a donation to Two-by-Two for every home sold in Oxmoor Ridge this month.

Two-by-Two Animal Rescue, founded in 2002 by Helena residents Sonya Smith and Andrea Fraser, has been credited with saving more than 1,000 animals.
