Alabama Sports Week has begun in Huntsville, with the North and South splitting the baseball doubleheader Monday at Joe Davis Stadium.

Spain Park’s Aaron Haag drove in the North’s second run of the first game in a 4-3 victory, but the South rallied to win the night cap, 7-5. Pelham’s Michael Bishop also started for the North, reaching base once on a walk. Pelham pitcher Trae Santos was also on the North roster.

Sports Week will continue through this week with a number of local players participating.

Soccer games were played Tuesday, but results were not known at press time. Softball is scheduled for Wednesday. Basketball and volleyball Thursday and football Friday.
