Donna’s Lettuce Wraps
Ingredients
1 pound ground turkey
1 (12 ounce) container diced pepers
1/2 cup hoisin sauce
1 teaspoon fresh ginger
1 teaspoon fresh garlic
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper
juice of 1 fresh lime
1 head of Boston lettuce
1 (6-ounce) package chow mein noodles
1/2 cup chopped peanuts
1 teaspoon vegetable oil
salt and pepper
Directions
Wash and separate the leaves from iceburg lettuce.
Whisk hoisin, garlic, ginger, crushed peppers, and lime juice in small bowl.
Heat oil in large sauté pan over medium-high heat.
Brown ground turkey.
Season with salt and pepper, and add peppers and cook for 2-3 minutes.
To serve: Scoop a little of the turkey mixture into a lettuce leaf. Top with a few chow mein noodles.
