University of Montevallo trustee Jeanetta C. Keller has been named the chief learning and system support officer for the UAB Health System.

Keller will oversee employee management, coordinate operating and affiliate boards and lead special projects.

Keller earned a bachelor’s of science from Montevallo in 1975, going on to earn a master’s in social work and a doctorate in higher education administration at the University of Alabama.

Before accepting the UAB job, Keller was the executive vice president and editorial director at Southern Progress Corporation, overseeing seven magazines.

She is the vice chair of the UM board of trustees and is a member of the board of trustees of the American Village.
