David Goodson, 56, of Lay Lake, Columbiana, formerly of Enterprise, passed away on Aug. 4, 2009 at Brookwood Medical Center after a short-fought battle with cancer.
He was preceded in death by his son, Eric, in 1980.
David is survived by his soulmate of 36 years, Judy Crumpler Goodson, as well as his children, Chad Goodson (Lauren), Russ Goodson (Katie), and Natalie Goodson, all living in the Birmingham area.
His first grandchild, Tucker William Goodson, will be arriving in November to Russ and Katie.
Visitation will be at Hillcrest Baptist Church, 500 Alberta St., Enterprise, on Saturday, Aug. 8, from 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m., with a Celebration Service from 2-3:30 p.m.
Private graveside service will follow at Meadowlawn Cemetery, with Sorrells Funeral Home directing.
