Pelham First Baptist celebrates 100 years

Pelham First Baptist Church will be holding a centennial celebration Sunday, Aug. 23.
The church will celebrate 100 years in the city, beginning with the morning service.
As part of honoring the past, three former pastors will return to the church to give morning sermons.
At 8 a.m., Pastor Ronnie Euler, who led the church from 1966-74, will opening the service, followed by Dr. Cecil Brown, who led the church from 1954-57, at 9:15 a.m.
Rev. Jerry Butler, who led the church from 1975-1978, will close out the service with his talk at 10:45 a.m.
The church will close out the celebration with a family picnic at 4 p.m. at the Shelby County YMCA in Pelham. For more information, call 664-0237.
