Betty L. Dinger, 73, of Birmingham, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 15, 2009 at Brookwood Medical Center.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Aug. 22, 2009 at 2:30 p.m. at the Scottsboro Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Steve Screws officiating. Burial followed in Pinehaven Memorial Gardens.
Visitation was held from 12-2:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Survivors include her daughters, Donna L. Garner of Scottsboro and Debra Slay of Birmingham; grandchildren, Brent A. (Tara N.) Head of Fort Benning, Ga., Sean F. (Crystal) Head of Hopkinsville, KY, and Hannah T. Slay of Birmingham; six great-granddaughters; brother, James W. (Carolyn) Taylor, Jr. of Wilson, N.C.; and sister, Sybil D. Lucas of Wilson, N.C.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert M. Dinger and parents, James W. and Lillian Mae Jones Tyler.
