Chelsea schools on lockdown Wednesday because of complaints
Chelsea Middle School and Chelsea Intermediate School went on lockdown Wednesday because of complaints of suspicious persons in the vicinity of the schools, said Shelby County Schools spokesperson Cindy Warner.
“The Sheriff’s Department was never able to validate that those claims were true, but we did go into lockdown as a precautionary measure,” Warner said.
The schools were on lockdown from 8:30-9:30 a.m.
