Kimberly Ann Young, owner/operator of Lefleur Florist & Gifts in Calera, was a guest designer and competed in the Mid-America Invitational Cup hosted by the Arkansas Florist Association on Aug. 15 in Hot Springs, Ark.

Contestants competed and were judged in three categories of design: bridal bouquet, sympathy and surprise package.

Young won first place in bridal bouquet design.

This marked the fourth annual Mid-America Invitational Design Cup competition and represented one of the largest trade market and educational weekends in mid-America.

Winners were announced and recognized at the president’s banquet.
