University of Montevallo senior outside hitter Katy Handrick was named the Peach Belt Conference women’s volleyball player of the week Tuesday. This is the first PBC player of the week honor for any Montevallo student-athlete.

Handrick, a De Pere, Wisc., native, averaged five kills per set with a .371 attack percentage, including a percentage above .400 in two matches. She had 23 kills against Henderson State, 27 against Christian Brothers and 14 more against UAH. Handrick is currently second in the PBC with 3.4 kills per set.
