Hoover police make arrest in arson-for-hire case
The Hoover Police Department arrested a Hoover resident Sept. 13 for attempting to hire someone to commit arson.
Anthony Shane Brooks, 37, was arrested on charges of second-degree solicitation to commit arson and attempted distribution of controlled substances.
According to a press release, Brooks was attempting to hire someone to commit arson on a private residence.
He is being held at the Jefferson County Jail on a total bond of $150,000.
