Montevallo senior Brandon Lilly finished with 229 total yards on offense as he led the Bulldogs to a 35-9 win over Class 3A, Region 3 opponent B.B. Comer on the road Friday night.

Lilly had 116 yards and two touchdowns receiving, while also rushing for 114 yards and a touchdown.

Following a touchdown by B.B. Comerlate in the first quarter, Montevallo answered with a 61-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Kevin Callender. Brett Grey’s extra point gave the Bulldogs a 7-6 lead. B.B. Comer added a field goal before Callender found Lilly for a 37-yard touchdown to put Montevallo ahead for good. Callender added a 22-yard rushing touchdown in the second quarter and a 2-yard touchdown run in the third quarter to push the lead to three touchdowns. Lilly capped the scoring with a 71-yard touchdown run late in the fourth quarter.

Callender rushed for 69 yards and two touchdowns on 12 carries. The Bulldogs finished with 332 yards of total offense in the win.

Montevallo hosts non-region opponent West Blocton on Sept. 25.
