Oak Mountain defeated Homewood 12-10 today after the game was suspended Friday night due to lightning with the Eagles leading 9-0.

Oak Mountain resumed play with Homewood at the second quarter at the Patriots’ Waldrop Stadium today at noon. Mark Caldwell had a 31-yard field goal for the Eagles only points Saturday.

Caldwell nailed a 44-yard field goal and Paul Angel connected with Rico Dunn for a 4-yard touchdown in the first quarter as the Eagles built a 9-0 lead Friday night.

“The guys fought hard for four quarters and persevered,” said Oak Mountain coach Jeff Harris. “In everything we do, we try to point out the positives. We’ll be in a situation down the road where this will help us when we face adversity.”
