Eight seniors from Indian Springs School have been named semifinalists in the National Merit Scholarship Program competition. They are: Richard Baxley of Birmingham, Jack Feist of Indian Springs, Alex Freedman of Birmingham, Sam Gregory of Birmingham, Michelle Luo of Vestavia Hills, Julia McMinn of Birmingham, Alison Newman of Birmingham and Sunney Poyner of Hoover. They have an opportunity to continue in the competition for 8,200 National Merit Scholarships offered this spring.
