Kenneth Maru Cooper, 91, of Pelham, passed away Sunday, Sept. 27, 2009.
He was a self employed farmer and butcher.
Mr. Cooper was preceded in death by his wife, Dess Cooper; father, Kenneth Ezell Cooper; his mother, Grace Pearl McClesky Cooper; and his brothers Canty and Coy Cooper.
He is survived by his sister, Alaire Fletcher of Sun City, Fla.; daughter, Terry Coker of Columbiana; son, Tim Cooper of Pelham; grandchildren, Rhonda Price of Columbiana, Kenny Coker of Calera, Amanda Cooper of Pelham, and Kacey Cooper of Pelham; and four great-grandchildren, Brittney Price, Jordan Price, Ella Coker, and Lee Price.
A graveside service was held for Mr. Cooper on Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2009 at 11 a.m. at Southern Heritage Cemetery, Pelham with visitation one-hour prior at Ridout’s Southern Heritage Funeral Home, Pelham.
