The Shelby County 52 bridge over Interstate 65 in Pelham will be closed from Friday, Oct. 16 at approximately 11 p.m. until Monday, Oct. 19 at 6 a.m.

The closing is part of the I-65 construction project.

Pelham Police Lt. Davy Lott said drivers should use Shelby County roads 33 and 35 to avoid the bridge. He said drivers heading to and from Alabaster could also use Shelby County roads 11 and 68.
