Cornerstone Christian football game rescheduled for Monday
Cornerstone Christian School rescheduled its home football game with Abbeville Christian for Monday, Oct. 19, said Cornerstone coach Tim Smith.
The game was originally scheduled for Oct. 16.
Smith said unplayable field conditions at Michael B. Willis Memorial Stadium led to the game being pushed back three days. Heavy rainfall over the past two days left the field muddy, Smith said.
“It’s under water,” Smith said. “It’s taken a beating. We can’t even get it ready to play on Saturday.”
Cornerstone has already wrapped up an AISA Class 1A playoff bid. The Chargers (6-0) have three region games remaining.
