Vincent High School fell 34-6 at home Friday night to region foe Pickens County.

The loss leaves the Yellow Jackets (5-3, 3-3 Class 2A, Region 5) with a must-win situation Oct. 23 at home versus American Christian Academy for a chance to make the Class 2A playoffs.

“It’s do or die,” said Vincent head coach Dwight Spradley. “If we don’t win, we can’t go to the playoffs.”

Brett Frizzell caught an 18-yard touchdown pass from Ben McKinney in the first quarter for the Yellow Jackets’ only score against Pickens County.

Juwan Rogers led Vincent with 50 rushing yards on 17 carries.

Shacorry Lilly and McKinney led the Yellow Jackets with 10 tackles each. Rogers added eight tackles.
