Members of the Pelham High School Future Business Leaders of America are giving back in a major way as the group recently presented SouthernLINC Wireless with donations for deployed soldiers.

The project was part of a promotion SouthernLINC is sponsoring to help send much-needed items overseas to soldiers in combat.

“This is a great program that SouthernLINC has started, and we are happy to do our part,” said Pelham FBLA sponsor Scott Blair. “Pelham High School has always been great at giving, and I am proud that our students can be the ones to make a difference in the lives of our soldiers.”

Diana Padilla, the Pelham FBLA president, said it was important for the group to not only help those in need, but to also help the those who are fighting for our rights.

“It’s very important to help people, and to especially help our country,” Padilla said. “I think everyone, at some point, should help somebody else.”
