Funeral service for Linda Wheless, age 62, of Columbiana, will be at 11 a.m., Friday, Oct. 23, 2009, at Bolton Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Alabama National Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday from 9:30-11 a.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Wheless was born Nov. 21, 1946 in Birmingham, grew up in the Norwood Community and a graduate of Phillips High School, class of 1966.
Linda passed away on the beautiful day of October 20, 2009 in the presence of her family and her Lord Jesus Christ.
She was a wonderful mother and loving grandmother.
Mrs. Wheless was past president of Navy Wive’s Club, USS Dale.
She will be missed dearly and in our hearts for eternity through Christ.
She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Joseph H. Wheless, III; son, David L. (Sandra) Wheless; daughter, Karen E. Wheless; grandchildren, Matthew, Kyle, Katie, Kari; sisters, Judy Earnest, Catherine Morgan; brother, Joseph A. Chambers and a host of other nieces, nephews, family and friends.
