Cornerstone defeats Ashford 33-0

Cornerstone Christian School picked up a 33-0 win Friday night on the road at Ashford Academy.

LaDarius King led the way with two rushing touchdowns. Josh Anderson, J.V. McKinney and Lance Benton also scored touchdowns in the win.

“We played really well tonight,” said Cornerstone coach Tim Smith. “Our offensive line has gotten better every week.

Benton completed 6-of-10 passes for 154 yards. King rushed for 131 yards on 18 carries. McKinney added 94 yards on four receptions.

The Chargers (8-0) close out their regular season Oct. 30 on the road at Crenshaw Christian. Cornerstone can seal the region championship with a win at Crenshaw Christian.
