Funeral service for Tommy Moon, 57, of Calera, will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2009, at Calera Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Shelby Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. at Calera Baptist Church.
Chief Moon, who passed away Saturday, Oct. 24, 2009, at a local hospital, was born March 12, 1952 in Dogwood.
He was the Fire Chief for the City of Calera Fire Department. He was a deacon at Calera Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Hilda Morgan Moon; children, Shannon (Donny) Sisco, Cody Moon; Father (Mentor), James R. Miles; brothers, Bobby Joe (Pat) Phillips, James D. (Shirley) Phillips, Harry L. Moon and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
