Graveside service for Robert Holcombe, 90, of Columbiana, formerly of Central Park, will be at 2 p.m., Friday, Dec. 4, 2009, at Elmwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Thursday, Dec. 3, 2009 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Holcombe went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2009. He was born April 26, 1919 in Columbiana.
Mr. Holcombe was a member of First Baptist Church of Columbiana and a World War II Veteran. He was an employee of Molton, Allen & Williams. Mr. Holcombe was a devoted friend to many.
He is preceded in death by his wives, Hazel G. Holcombe, Eloise Irvin Holcombe; parents, Mr. & Mrs. Lapsley Holcombe; brothers, George, Harry & Willard Holcombe and a sister, Edith H. Riley.
He is survived by his sister, Myra Horton; stepson, Jimmy (Sandra) Irvin of South Carolina; grandson, Jason (Charisse) Irvin and 2 great grandchildren, Logan & Kaitlyn.
He was “Uncle Bob” to 4 nieces and nephews, their families and a host of friends.
