A processional for Philip Davis, the Pelham police officer who was gunned down Dec. 3, will begin today at 2:15 p.m.

A police motorcade will transport Davis’ body from Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham south on U.S. 31 to the Church at Brook Hills.

The motorcade will stop momentarily in front of the Pelham Police Department.

Those unable to attend the funeral or viewing can take advantage of this opportunity to pay their respects.

Visitation will be tonight, Dec. 7, from 5-8 p.m. at the Church at Brook Hills, while the funeral will be tomorrow, Dec. 8, at 11 a.m. at the church.

Burial will follow at Southern Heritage Funeral Home.

Due to the visitation being on Monday, the regularly scheduled City Council meeting has been moved to Thursday, Dec. 10 at 7 p.m. The work session will begin at 5:30 p.m. prior to the meeting.
