John Loren Hunter, 71, of Chelsea, passed away Sunday, Dec. 13, 2009 at Brookwood Medical Center surrounded by family and friends.
He was born Dec. 24, 1937. He was the third of six siblings.
On Oct. 10, 1997, he married Ann Hunter, who survives.
He is survived by sons, Phillip Hunter and Lavon Hunter; daughter, Lenita (Billy) Rice; sisters, Lemearel Hall, Lamona (Fred) Easterwood and Lanell Puckett; brothers, Adam Lynnwood Hunter and Robert Leslie (Francis) Hunter; grandchildren, Josh Hunter, Lynnsie Brasfield, Lavonia Hunter and Ian Rice; stepson, Ches Harris; and eight nieces and eight nephews.
Mr. Hunter was preceded in death by his parents, John Wesley and Carrie Lou Hunter and one niece.
A service will be held Thursday, Dec. 17 at 7 p.m. at Chelsea Church of God.
