The Spain Park High School wrestling team fell to Oxford and host Pell City in a dual meet Jan. 26 at Pell City High School.

Tommy Bostany and Conrad Hathcoat combined to finish 4-0 in the dual meet as the Jaguars fell 55-15 to Oxford and 40-34 to Pell City.

Bostany earned a 7-2 decision over Oxford’s Hunter Lee and pinned Pell City’s Brent Mays in 23 seconds in his 112-pound matches. Hatchcoat pinned Oxford’s Jarad Shake in 2:44 and Pell City’s J.P. Slovensky in his 130-pound matches.

Geoffrey Bostany won by forfeit against Oxford and both teams forfeited the heavyweight matchup.

Connor Whatley, Martin Stone and Kameron Ricks each picked up wins against Pell City. Whatley pinned Pell City’s Michael Parten in 3:07 in the 119-pound match, Stone pinned David Robinson of Pell City in 35 seconds in the 145-pound match and Ricks pinned Pell City’s Alex Hopson in 3:29 in the 189-pound match.
