Jim was a special person, kind and compassionate, willing to help other people who were struggling in life. No problem was too big for him to aid someone in trying to overcome it. He attended Hope Lutheran Church in Irondale where he was always available to serve God and his fellow parishioners. No task was too big or small, including anything from raking leaves to reading Bible lessons from the pulpit during services. He also worked Hope’s booth at the “Whistle Stop” festivals in Irondale. At one time he hosted an exchange student from Germany.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure or the American Heart Association.
