Basketball, soccer games pushed back

All Alabama High School Athletic Association playoff boys’ basketball games and Alabama Christian Sports Conference basketball tournament games involving Shelby County schools Feb. 12 have been rescheduled due to snow. The Lakeshore Shootout boys’ soccer tournament was cancelled.

Shelby County will host Carver High School of Montgomery in a Class 5A sub-regional contest Saturday, Feb. 13 at 7 p.m.

Spain Park will travel to Mountain Brook in a Class 6A sub-regional game Feb. 13 at 7 p.m.

Oak Mountain will host Homewood in a Class 6A sub-regional game Feb. 13 at 7 p.m.

Calera will travel to Midfield in a Class 4A sub-regional contest Feb. 13 at 4 p.m.

Vincent will host Woodland in a Class 2A sub-regional game Feb. 13 at 5:30 p.m.

The Alabama Christian Sports Conference basketball tournament has been pushed back to Feb. 13 at Samford University’s Seibert Gym.

The Evangel Christian School girls will face the Tuscaloosa Home Educators in a semifinal at 9:30 a.m. The Evangel boys will meet The Rock in a semifinal at 12:30 p.m.

The Hope Christian School girls will take on Evangel Family Christian School in a semifinal at 11 a.m. The Hope boys will face the Tuscaloosa Home Educators in a semifinal at 2 p.m.

The girls’ championship game will be held at 6:30 p.m. The boys’ championship game will follow at 8 p.m.

All other Feb. 12 sporting events involving Shelby County Schools have been cancelled.

The Lakeshore Shootout boys’ soccer tournament was cancelled on Feb. 13. The Lakeshore tournament, which was supposed to include Oak Mountain, Pelham, Spain Park and Indian Springs, was scheduled to play games Feb. 13 at three different venues in Shelby County, including Oak Mountain High School, Spain Park High School and Sports Blast.
