Shelby County schools will close at noon Friday because of inclement weather, according to school system spokesperson Cindy Warner.

The buses will run at noon. All after-school activities have been canceled.

The Oak Mountain playoff basketball game against Homewood scheduled for tonight has been canceled. The game will be played tomorrow at 7 p.m. at Oak Mountain High School.

The Shelby County High School playoff basketball game versus Carver-Montgomery has been officially changed to Feb. 13 at 7 p.m. at Shelby County High School.
