Burglary suspect charged with multiple crimes

A Pelham Police officer arrested a man Feb. 22 while the suspect was in the process of a burglary at 2 Pesos on Alabama 119.
Hoover Police had previously shared the suspect’s description with the Pelham Police, and other agencies in the area, following a string of burglaries in Hoover.
William Anthony Crenshaw, 43, of Jacksonville, has been charged with nine counts of third-degree burglary, two counts of third-degree criminal mischief, third-degree theft of property and possession of burglar’s tools.
Following an investigation by detectives with the Hoover Police Department, Crenshaw is also a suspect in the following burglaries:

-Edgars Bakery, U.S. 280, Dec. 9, 2009
-Champion Cleaners, U.S. 280, Dec. 9, 2009
-Peking Wok, Nov. 14, 2009
-Yuki Japanese Restaurant, Nov. 14, 2009
-Weight Watchers, Nov. 14, 2009.
Crenshaw is being held in the Shelby County Jail on a $153,000 bond.
