Pelham Police arrest copper burglar
Pelham Police arrested a man March 1 after responding to a call of a suspicious person at 1:15 a.m. near Quality Electric off Valleydale Terrace.
Responding to the call, officers located a male suspect lying in a ditch near the business.
Upon investigation, several rolls of copper were removed from the interior of the building, which had been forced open, and were thrown over a fence.
Christopher Brandon Taylor, 33, of Maylene was arrested without incident and has been charged with third-degree burglary.
Taylor remains in the Shelby County Jail.
