There will be some “T-R-O-U-B-L-E” in Alabaster June 5, but in a good way, as country artist Travis Tritt has been named the headliner of the 2010 CityFest.
Tritt, whose hits include “T-R-O-U-B-L-E,” “I’m Gonna Be Somebody,” “Country Club,” “Tell Me I Was Dreaming” and “Foolish Pride,” will join other artists to be named in Shelby County’s largest outdoor festival.
“We are so excited,” said Alabaster City Council and Arts Council member Sophie Martin. “I think (Tritt) is really going to be a big draw.”
Last year’s CityFest, headlined by country artist Terri Clark and alternative rock group Tonic, drew an estimated 50,000 people to Alabaster’s Municipal Park. The 2008 CityFest, headlined by country artist Tracy Lawrence and alternative rock group Sister Hazel, drew an estimated 35,000 people.
Regions has signed on as this’ year’s title sponsor, and the event will feature music, inflatables, a kid’s area, demonstrations, a car show, arts, crafts, vendors and more.
