Spain Park High School will face Auburn High School in the Alabama High School Athletic Association’s 2010 Champions Challenge Aug. 21 at 7:30 p.m. at the Cramton Bowl in Montgomery.

Spain Park, coached by David Shores, reached the Class 6A quarterfinals last season before falling 49-32 to Gadsden City. The Jaguars wrapped up the 2009 season with a 10-3 record.

Auburn, coached by Tim Carter, posted its second straight 10-0 regular season and finished 13-1 with a narrow 13-9 loss to Prattville in the Class 6A playoff semifinals.

The 2010 Champions Challenge will also feature a game Aug. 20 at 7 p.m. between Opelika and Greenville. Trinity and Jackson will meet Aug. 21 at 5:30 p.m.

The Jags’ contest with Auburn Aug. 21 at 7:30 p.m. will wrap up the Champions Challenge.
