Funeral service for Susan Kay Wallis Martin, age 56, of Westover, will be Sunday, March 14, 2010, at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Harpersville. Burial will follow in Macedonia North Cemetery in Vincent. Bro. Wayne Lowe and Bro. David Roberts officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, March 13, 2010, from 6-8 p.m. at Kilgroe Funeral Home in Pell City.
Martin, who passed away March 11, 2010, was born in Sylacauga. She was a 1972 graduate of Vincent High School and attended Jacksonville State University. She was employed by Southern Company for 36 years and a member of Church of Brook Hills of Birmingham.
She is survived by her husband, Lowell Nelson Martin; son, Seth Nelson Martin; daughter, Shae Nicole Martin (Andre) McKinny; mother, Kate F. Wallis of Harpersville; brother, Jeffery Lamar (Nancy) Wallis of Harpersville; sisters, Diane Wallis (George) Martin of Cypress, Calif., and Kathy Wallis of Harpersville; grandchildren, Lance and Aiden.
